Some good examples of the Rofl- sites are: Rofl Collision: Rofl Train vs Neo the Tank Engine, My Rofl Lightsaber goes., and Thine Horse of Rofl goeth. Some good examples of TTS sites are: TTS Generator fails at life (the site that started the TTS fad, created by tehsaxophonist), TTS tries to say Nooooooooo!, The Texas Chainsaw TTS, and TTS Bot has one weakness. roflcopter (Internet slang) That made me laugh. In the end all of these can be considered one big fad. Though popularized by the image at (a website, now defunct) in 2004, the term appears to have enjoyed some use in 2003. Another fad that started through Roflcopter is the Rofl- fad (started by Skerlnick with My Rofl Train goes.) which takes the idea of Roflcopter and brings it to a more open level by taking on various forms (sound effects, songs, movies, etc.), similar to the way a few TTS sites did, but more singular in focus. TTS in itself became it's own fad, although it used a different voice. The Roflcopter inspired several other Text-to-Speech sites. Some good examples of this fad are Roflcopter Takeoff, Secret Nazi Roflcopter, LOL HL2 Roflcopter, and Conan Roflcopter. The roflCopter is a rotorcraft working like a helicopter’s main rotor taken as a single flying object on its own. While Vent Bind was a small fad, Roflcopter broke off and turned into an even bigger one for a while. The success of Roflcopter spawned various sites which mainly concentrated on the Roflcopter itself, rather than any other items. Vent Bind itself didn't go off as much as Roflcopter specifically. The sound of course was always Microsoft Sam saying whatever was in the Ventrilo bind. The small fad in itself consisted of using a screen shot of making a Ventrilo bind with the sound on the site. This spawned a few mildly successful variants with vent bind, such as Vent Bind Sprinkler, Vent Bind Sean Connery, Vent Bind UFO Landing. A well-noted glitch occurs if you allow Sam to say soi or soy, both sounding like a whispered swah. The roflcopter/vent bind fad started with dReWBaCCa's Vent Bind Roflcopter. My ROFLCopter goes soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi s. The Roflcopter fad is based off various Text-to-Speech (or programs including text-to-speech) programs such as Microsoft Narrator, Ventrillo, and others. ROFL Collision: Rofl train vs Neo the Tank Engine. For example: If the Bullet Bill page was deleted and redirected to bullet, the classic Mario character would probably lead to "Increaces of gun crime in Los Angeles" with no relevant information. ![]() ![]() The only use of the word LOL in the ROFLcopter is as the pivot for the rotor blades, and the LOL page itself is irrelevant to this. We'll have to get some administrator attention to change the link. I'll go ahead and change this now - MICHAEL IPF5 SUMAN Talk 12:14, 23 June 2010 (UTC) Reply The page is still locked, even though the LOL page has no references to helicopter pictures. Thanks to over ten years of experience in conceptual and graphics design, illustration and programming, we are able to support our clients during every step of the development process. It has nothing to do with the word lol, just as spongebob has nothing to do with sponges. Roflcopter Ink is an independent games, apps and software development studio based in Munich, Germany. I think this page should rediredt to ASCII art since there is an example about the infamous roflcopter - Andersmusician NO 01:05, 11 December 2008 (UTC) Reply This should definitely be moved to ASCII art as ROFL copters are just pictures of helicopters in the ASCII Art genre.
